Privacy Statement

This privacy statement sets out how the Irish Universities Association Equality Network uses and protects any information that you give when you use the LEAD website.

The Network comprises UCD, UL, UCC, DCU, TCD, NUIG and Maynooth University and each institution is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using the LEAD website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

This statement may be changed from time to time and this will be reflected on this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This statement is effective from June 2014.

Information collected by each participating institution

We collect the following information:

  • Name
  • Your institution
  • Email address
  • Gender
  • Staff Category

Information collected at other times

Your feedback is collected, via the application questionnaire survey and assessment engines.

What we do with the information we gather

All information will only be made available to a designated individual within your particular institution. No personal information will be shared between institutions. We require this information for the following reasons:

  • Institutional based Internal record keeping.
  • A record of programme completions by institution.
  • We may use the information to improve our services.


We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

The LEAD website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave the LEAD site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
